Serving the Needs of Confederate Patriots... In this galvanized world of Yankee revisionism and political correctness in which we live, it is becoming extremely difficult for Southrons to express pride in their Confederate heritage. Almost everywhere they turn their flags are being taken down, their symbols are being banned, and their monuments either desecrated or removed. It is but small wonder then, that sources of supply for their flags and symbols have become virtually nonexistant. This is why I founded Confederate Mercantile. Hi, I'm Steve Monk, founder and sole proprietor of Confederate Mercantile. I operate my business at various locations in the North Georgia area, mostly in Pickens County. I am dedicated to supplying my customers with the flags and other related merchandise that they need to show pride in their Confederate heritage. Every day that I'm open I serve boiled peanuts, both plain and Cajun. Not only are boiled peanuts a real Southern delicacy, according to the FDA, they're good for your heart! 3' x 5' Third National Confederate Flag A problem developed with the use of the Second National Flag in that, when there was little or no wind and the flag was hanging limp, it resembled the flag of truce at a distance. So, in March of 1865, the Confederate government adopted the Third National Flag which featured a verticle red bar on the fly end. It is still the official flag of the Confederate government since Jefferson Davis never surrendered that government to the Yankee invaders.
